About Cabelio Systems
Cabelio Systems is a U.S.-based wire harness manufacturer on Florida's Space Coast, founded by former SpaceX and Blue Origin leaders. We build flight- and mission-critical harnesses and cable assemblies to IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3, the industry's highest workmanship standard, powered by our own design and quoting software. We're a small, fast-moving team that takes pride in building things right the first time.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our Quality Inspector is the last line of defense before a harness ships. You will perform inspection against drawings and the IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 standard, document results, and help us maintain full traceability on every unit we build. We are looking for someone who does more than catch defects: you will get to the root of issues, partner with production on solutions, and help move quality and throughput forward together.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect wire harnesses and cable assemblies under magnification to IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 acceptance criteria
- Perform first-article inspections (FAI) on new part numbers
- Perform and verify continuity, insulation resistance, and hi-pot (dielectric withstand) testing, following all high-voltage safety procedures
- Maintain serial-number traceability and digital inspection records in our manufacturing execution system (MES)
- Issue certificates of conformance and support root-cause and corrective-action activities
- Read and interpret drawings, schematics, GD&T, and customer specifications
- Use precision measurement and electrical test equipment
- Partner with production and engineering to root-cause issues, find solutions, and drive measurable quality improvement
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 2+ years of experience in quality inspection of wire harnesses, cables, or electromechanical assemblies
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification (CIS)
- Working knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 acceptance criteria and IPC J-STD-001
- Experience with AS9100 or aerospace/defense quality management systems
- Proficiency with calipers, pin gauges, and electrical test equipment
- Experience with FAI, certificates of conformance, and corrective-action processes
- Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and a quality-first mindset
- Proficient with computers, including MS Office and quality/shop-floor software
